Although I am a bit out of practice, I’m a musician and play both acoustic and electric guitar so I can say with a fair amount of certainty that there is nothing like the sound of a vintage Fender Telecaster. On the flip side as a designer I can say that paisley in the wrong hands can be a very dangerous thing. So if you were to tell me a month ago that someone was making vintage Tele’s with paisley patterns on them, I probably would have looked the other way. Thankfully I did not. Because in a recent random web search, I tripped upon James Trussart Custom Guitars and I have to say these axes are a thing of beauty. A vintage Tele alone is pretty damn cool but after James is done with one they are works of art. But don’t fear, if paisley ain’t your thing there is a plethora of other styles to choose from all aged to perfection like a well broken in pair of shoes. In my opinion they are the best collection of guitars I have seen in a long time.
So I leave you with this… if spending an afternoon hammering out riffs with your buddies is your idea of a good time, you should take a look at these guitars. On the other hand if you are not the maestro that you thought you were, at least you can look good as you go down in a ball of fire. I guarantee that with a custom James Trussart around your neck your audience won’t be paying much attention to you.
